A photograph of New York City

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

Having been to New York City many times, I have begun to admire the sounds, the buildings and the people that give this city its pulse. For miles in every direction, life has its own place nestled within the walls of these enormous concrete statues. What strikes me the most is the friendly tone of all New York’s. In the picture titled Times Square, I wanted to capture the life of the people and the mood of the city. With the grand display of lights in the background and the movment of the well dressed subject that entered my frame, New York appeared in my photo. The city that never sleeps.

A Quick Smoke

Life is moving so fast, we forget who we are, what were doing and where we are going. We spend more time on the internet talking to people we don’t know and less time with the ones who sit right next to us. This photo of the man smoking his cigarette (A Quick Smoke) and rushing to his next destination is a reflection of our time right now.

We are forgetting the important things in life and placing less value on ourselves. Where are we all rushing to???
